Kimberly Manley of Studio Light Illustration created two beautiful, whimsical, water-color illustrations of my twin granddaughters, which I commissioned as a gift for them and their parents. When it arrived, my daughter texted, “They are absolutely gorgeous!!!” and “Love them so much!!!”. As grandparents we completely agree that Kimberly provided us with artwork that far exceeded our expectations.

My Vision as an Illustrator: I help people by creating colorful watercolor illustrations to help share meaningful stories and impactful messages. This could be in the form of children's books, poetry books, short stories, magazine editorials, and website imagery.

My Vision as a Mentor: My vision as an Artist-Mentor is to help people learn how to open up using creative methods and feel comfortable sharing their truth.

My Creative Dream: My creative dream is to continue illustrating and to build a business surrounding creative healing. Creative healing involves creative art experiences that cultivate a calming experience for diving into deeper topics like emotional repression. These experiences also help people to connect on a deeper level and learn how to open up more.

My Background: I have illustrated my first children’s book and have been commissioned for numerous other illustration projects! I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Illustration from Northern Illinois University as well as an Associate of Arts from Kishwaukee College. I have completed a year of Artist Apprenticeship and I am now a Creative Coaching Apprentice with Studio Light Illustration. Additionally, I am taking an accredited course for coaches and therapists with Felix Harder on Skillshare.

Fun Stuff About Me: I enjoy anger exercises, where I listen to hard rock music and practice kickboxing moves. I can walk around town for hours playing Pokémon Go. I appreciate the incentive of going outside to play a game on my phone. I am moving to either California or Florida next year and I am STOKED!
